Install on card or device...does it matter?

FOR Example, TCPMP plug ins, can they be installed on the card?
What about the program itself. It runs from the card, but should I have installed it on the device instead? Will it factor in the speed of the program?

Thanx for any input!
Ron

Good rule of thumb to follow.

If it's something that is ALWAYS running (backgrounds, today screen items, background apps that autoinstall, etc) put it in main memory.

Apps that you "sometimes" use, but that don't autorun or change anything in the OS, storage card.

there's so much room that I just install in memory . I think the phone can run it faster. specially if you have a slower card

Re: Install on card or device...does it matter?

I'm so thankful for the amount of storage space these phones have. It really hasn't made it necessary for me to install anything to the card. Generally I install all apps to the device unless otherwise specified by the instructions (Sashimi, for instance, or TomTom's data files). That way I run into no unexpected issues. You'd be surprised how many apps install background services you wouldn't expect, or run poorly over the potentially slower speeds of your memory card. I tend to store documents, photos, videos, installers, etc. on the card, and install to the main device for safety.
