Are you all serious you didn't dye your stylus when you did your batt cover. Well, stylus dyed with same RIT dye as batt cover. It did demagnetize the stylus a little though. But I just got a normal refrigerator magnet and rubbed it to the stylus a few times and it was just like new. Even stronger I think.
Wal-Mart also sells a RIT dye in liquid form. It costs a little more, but you don't have to use the whole thing for one session. You can just add as much as you need to a smaller pot of water, then you have leftover dye in case you want to dye something else. |

Thanks for the pics. I think I'll pass on that since it demagnetizes the stylus. I can't afford to lose one of them!

It happened to me on the first two styli that I dyed. But like I said just a little and I just rubbed them with another magnet and it back like new. It might be even stronger than it was.

That looks a lot like a regular stylus that hasn't been dyed. Maybe it's just hard to tell from teh picture. Do you have a comparison shot with a dyed and undyed stylus?

i went to my local sprint store to try and get a backup battery cover,, and they stated that they are required to send them all back ,, they no longer have spares .. i was worried that i might mess something up when trying this ... hmmmm
is it pretty easy or if u dont get temperature right in pot u are fcked .. haha |
