Question about all the differnt touch pro.

I am a sprint customer and currently a mogul (titan) user. And I loved the touch pro the first time I saw it when it was released in europe. And now there are finaly CDMA versions here in the US. Unfortaintly the sprint version is hidious crome set up just isn't appealing to me. But the other CDMA versions (telus, altel, verizon) are looking alot better to me. Is it possible to get one from anougher carrier and make it work on my sprint plan? Or am I stuck with the sprint version?

it's extremely difficult to convince Sprint to activate a phone whose serial number isn't on their database. it has been done in the past, but it's very hard to do

You are stuck with Sprint. Good Luck!

Yes it is possible. You can flash the other carrier's phone with the Sprint stock ROM. Check this forum for how to flash a ROM.

And then you can change the ESN to work on the Sprint Network? I know you can clone phones, but you would need a ESN for the Sprint Network...

That still doesn't change the ESN on the phone, simple answer is if the ESN is not in Sprint's database they won't activate the phone, regardless of which ROM you are using.

Yeah! What I was trying to say! :P

P.S. And I am sure the hardware would have to be the same to not have any problems... :D

O well I guess that saves me money. I'll just keep my mogul until the next HTC phone hits the shelves. And maybe just maybe I'll change to GSM carrier. I hear decent things about 3G(maybe its just cuz of the iphone).

Good luck with that :) AT&T doesnt have as good as a network as Sprint (in my opinion), Verizon gimps all their phones, Alltel is about to become part of Verizon, and TMobile is definitley not as good as Sprint when it comes to data.

As a side note...I love the way the Sprint Pro looks...I actually like it more than that square looking GSM thing. Looks like its corners would hurt LOL

you said that you wanted an alltel phone, because the sprint phone is so ugly... the only difference between the two is the little alltel logo in the right hand corner. the sprint touch pro is the cdma version, the verizon is the gimped version...i don't know how the other phones could be looking better to you, because they all look the same, besides the verizon. nobody in their right mind would even want the verizon pro over the sprint model anwyays.. i think you're just trying to be difficult lol
