Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
I have heard some conflicting issues about this. Is there anyway for Sprint to detect internet sharing on the HTC Touch Pro? I can connect via ICS with out any reg edits or any additional installs. I have unlimited data.

Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
I'm curious of the same thing. I also have an unlimited data plan, and could be out of a job (auto supplier) in the near future, and am considering dropping my home ISP in order to use this unlimited plan I have. I would like to know if the 5GB limited would aplly to me tethering and browsing using my phone...

You can make sure they won't care if you pay them for the service. Then, you can look yourself in the mirror and not see a crook looking back! :headbang: |
Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
If you use it for casual use then i dont think it will be a problem.

Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
i have used internet sharing with a $15 unlimited data plan for two years iam on the net 24-7 i use millions of kbs per month it say right on my bill no one from sprint has ever question it so just do a reg edit and get ics up and running,$15 data plan and your set!

Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
on the other hand, ive never paid for it, no 15 dollar a month plan, and never got any additional charges for it. Can they detect it?? YES, but ive never seen them charge anyone unless someone abused it. I think its a loophole

Success100 sorry your wrong cuz we used ics on my wifes phone for 5min and got a bill from sprint cuz kb's are not included in her plan so yea you need to get that $15 data plan unless you want a huge bill for data thanks tho:-)

were talking about the $15 dollar a month PAM add-on. I know plenty of people with data plans that dont have the PAM add-on who have never been charged extra.(including myself before I was put on an employee plan) I SAID that they can detect it but usually dont charge u if u have a data plan unless u abuse it. Of course they dont advertise this, that would be dumb, but most of us know this. Can they charge you? Yes. Will they probably not. Can you fault them if they do? No. |

my guess is your wife was charged because she did not have data plan |
Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
I think they can thats why people use thethering hacks.

Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
what about WMWifiRouter? is that also called a hack? same as ICS?

Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones

Re: Can Sprint detect internet sharing on windows mobile phones
here to correct, yet again. it's no loophole actually sprint has a vision plus package you need to purchase in order to use internet sharing, it's in effect now, but is not up to speed yet, they were having problems detecting it yes, but for now your good. they will be able to notice and require for this function on upcomming service/network ajustments at the moment even if you have unlimited data you CAN use it period, no data limitations until sprint is able to resolve this issue, not sure on a exact date, but mid feb is what i have been told. verizon says umlimited but that's not true around 5gigs, and you have a chance at actually loosing your service, sprint means unlimited when they say it .

also, sprint doesnt mean "unlimited". sprint has a 5gig cap also. check ur info bruh. like i said, sprit knows people tether. to me it is a loophole because there are thousands of people out there paying to tether when they dont have to, they just dont know it, so yes we exploited a loophole, and the same loophole exists on the alltel network. |

With the regedit, you should be good to go.
I think Sprint really doesn't mind unless you are abusing the system badly. |
