Can't Figure out why my Touch Pro wont turn on, HELP!
 

I have a touch pro which was working perfectly, I wasnt paying attention and I put in the battery wrong. Once I put it in correctly, it wont start up now. Battery was fully charged. It worked perfectly fine until I put the battery in wrong:(

I looked at the slot where the battery goes and nothing seems broken. How many "prongs" do you guys having in the battery compartment (ie, how many copper "connectors" come in contact with the open part of the battery). I see a total of 5, 2 sets of 2 with a single one in the middle.

I know, I know, I should have been paying attention:( Any Ideas what I may have broken in there?

Looks like they are. I have a second battery which was charged, it doesnt work either. Its not a "program" problem, I was using it JUST before I decided to switch batteries:(

When I put the battery in, it doesnt "click" into place (if that makes sense)

If you put the battery in and plug the phone in does it charge? The light around the D-pad center button will light up, even if the phone's off

The center pad does not light up when I have it plugged into the charger:(

Sounds like something's fried..try returning it and see if they can test with another battery if not

Luckily I have the insurance so Ill head to the sprint store in the morning. Do they replace it instore or do I have to wait for it to come through the mail?

the connector in the middle is your problem, try using a pair of tweeser to pull it out alittle. i had the same problem. i simply pull it out and up then my phone worked just fine. i hope this helps

i second that seems your middle bent in. try to unbend it but be careful
