Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!

Audio works on mine. It's really the same QVGA experience that I had on my Touch. No difference whatsoever. All they did was stretch if to fit our screen, (and it's quite obvious.)

Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!

I used to be a die hard skyfire user, but the fact that it's a stretched QVGA screen makes it look terrible.

Opera looks so much crisper. Step up your game skyfire!

Can someone please, for the love of God, explain to me why this is such a desired feature?

Most of the sites like youtube will stream directly to your media player, where you can see it in HIGHER QUALITY, and full-screen.

I find that viewing a webpage on skyfire, with embedded video is the slowest thing ever.. if you have to adjust any controls on the video, or pan the screen at all, (because it's not full-screen,) then it can take 10 seconds just to refresh the video. The audio will play before-hand.

Oh, and the audio is off by like 8 seconds, just like it was on my Touch..

hrmm, I just don't see the fascination, other than the "show off my phone," factor.

I think PIE6 is a lot better, even though you can't zoom.

Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!

Skyfire just sits at the starting page on mine. All it says is Connecting... and the version 0.85.0.7927. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times. Any Ideas whats up?

Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!

the server is probably down, that happens all the time (& that is one reason you NEVER want Skyfire to be your default browser)
