I tried Skyfire, it was a very short lived trial... I just gotta have hardwae accelerated scrolling and REAL VGA sharpness and clarity. |

Re: Skyfire now WORKING on the TP!
When I was using my Mogul Skyfire was king, but I have to agree with everyone else that the lack of native VGA support and poor zoom/scrolling has make Skyfire more cumbersome than ever on my Touch Pro. After a month of using Opera Mobile Skyfire feels arcadic rather than the technological maven it appeared to be on the Mogul.
Right now I'd just like Opera to release an update that supports flash content and then my mobile web browsing experience would be complete... but FYI the upcoming update for Pocket Internet Explorer is suppose to feature full flash support - but the same dull package we're already familiar with. |

Anyways, how the hell do you ZOOM in/out/etc in IE6? I gave up, but I was able to hit most links with my fingernail. Was there a special way of doing it? |

I made the mistake of checking the "make it my default browser" box for skyfire when I installed it in one of my two titan's. When I realized the skyfire server is down about 50% of the time & I was getting tons of authentication errors I tried to undo that default setting. I must have unchecked that box 30 times in a row & every single time it kept rechecking the box & taking over as the default. When I installed it in my TouchPro, I made absolutely SURE I didn't check that box......... ~John |
