For youtube, it makes much more sense to use YouTubePlay, or the built-in support on the TP.

If you are going to a site like redtube, then you have to use skyfire. I find that viewing ANY streaming video in skyfire is a PITA. It doesn't automatically fit to screen--and you can't do it, even if you want to. Chances are, if I am watching a video, I want to actually see it. Not some tiny square on an already-tiny screen. If you zoom in, you get a whole new level of annoyance--with parts getting cut off/etc.

Maybe if they improved the zoom/panning features, it would work better, but that's been my experience so far.

I'm still playing around with skyfire and so far I pretty much agree with the above. It's nice that it has flash but I think youtube is the only website I frequently go to that has flash. And I think I like the youtube client better.

After about 15-20 minutes using skyfire, the zooming/panning is pretty annoying. If it had the d-pad scroll it might be less annoying, but I think I'll be using opera 95% of the time.

Not bad, but i wouldnt exactly say its "vga". I downloaded the one from the first post and everything seems stretched. I'll play around wiht it a bit more... as in for now, i keep getting "The requested URL could not be retrieved" messages.

Edit*

My favorite and most demanding flash game "Fantastic Contraption" seems to work in the skyfire browser. Im pretty surprised!

They really need to work out a different method of panning the web page and clicking buttons inside of flash content though... Edit* they do have an option!

This application makes my phone hot! LITERALLY!

yeah opera is my main browser too.. i do love having skyfire for times when i feel like full site w/ flash viewing. Zooming can be annoying, but you'd think eventually they would get it right since EVERYBODY is  about it.

Yeah, definitely not native VGA. How unfortunate. With Opera so good, about all this was left for was streaming video and I'm managing all right without that. Hopefully they make some improvements to this.

He probably means "default."

What happens when you open a link from an email or a text? That's the true default browser.

when clicking on a link, opera opens. so no, it does not change your default browser
