how do i hard reset?
 

On another site, I've read instructions but it isn't working.


If you are unable to "clear storage" on your Touch Pro (Raphael), here is the key-based method to hard reset:
To perform a hard reset
1. Pull out the stylus.
2. With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER
buttons, then press the RESET button with the stylus tip.
3. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and
ENTER buttons until you see this message on the screen:


4. Release the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the VOLUME UP
button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the
reset.

Hard reset will erase every stored file on the phone (not including winmo and storage card). Turn off the phone. Hold down Volume Down + Center D-Pad + Power. When your phone turns on now it will have the hard reset menu hit Volume Up to hard reset.

Did you release all the buttons after holding them down? And is windows mobile shut down completely? It may take a few attempts, but it does work. Your manual even says the same thing. In order Volume Down + Center Dpad + Power, wait 1-2 seconds, release.

Just go to Settings > System > Clear Storage. It does the same exact thing.
