Anyone have Orb Running TV on the Touch Pro?

If you have orb running on the touch pro can you give me some pointers? I need to get a tv tuner for my laptop (that hosts my orb) that is compatible with orb, and preferably one I can hook up to my cable box and stream my cable tv. So is there a bundle for the IR blaster and the tv tuner maybe?

Also anyone know if kimona works with live tv in orb?

Thanks in advance.

Oh I am running orb on a macbook with Windows XP sp2

No, it doesn't.

I have used ORB for this in the past but was never totally happy with it.

I switched to a Slingbox with Sling Mobile & THAT is totally awesome.

I get all my cable channels (including HBO on demand etc etc) & it works perfectly even while driving down the road (which amazes me)

My son watched an NFL football game for while I drove him back to college last week & it worked perfectly.

Re: Anyone have Orb Running TV on the Touch Pro?

My Orb works FANTASTIC with TCPMP.

Biggest difference I found/realized after using Orb for the last year with various devices/configs, is that it is critical that your host computer (the one running Orb) is fast enought to transcode the video. Once that's up to par, you can get very good quality even with the video out cables...

I agree with this, I had to use my old macbook as the host pc since my other pc was too slow. the playback of videos is really clean now.

just wish I could get tv to work! or at least skyfire to watch hulu.

OK...this may be a little off topic, but are there any recommendations for tuners to use with ORB. I have tried so many, and none have worked. What have you all been successful with?

http://www.orb.com/system_requirements/

orb has several supported TV tuners on their website, and even some with discounts.

Wintv 1950 works, but can't change the channel.

You have to get a separate MCE IR blaster to change channels.

I got Wintv 1950 because it even works w/ Iphone 3g.
