The only real benefit (for me) of having TouchFLO3D is having multiple cities enabled for weather, but that's not enough benefit to warrant all the other limitations.

i like spb mobile shell, but i want the now screen to activate when i hit my "home" key -- how can i make that happen. i want it to replace tf3d, but without this button replacement it doesn't. how do you use spb mobile shell?

i agree that tf3d is more eye candy then anything ... def takes longer to get things accomplished... i personally use phonealarm .... everything u need is a tap away ... it also has 2nd today functionality built in... it has option to change your left soft key to manila so u can switch back n forth if u want to ... there is a skinning competition going on now .. hopefully they will get some tf3d look alike skins created...

Oh, I already knew that. I thought there was a way to take it off the phone completely. I would rather have the memory than the stupid TF3D. I'm going back to SPB Mobile Shell.:headbang:

I am actually using the newest version of IFONZ, and I absolutely love it. It is very responsive and I can actually make it through an entire day of heavy use on my phone without having to recharge the battery.

I definately feel like tf3d slows me down - but combined with aebuttonplus (I have it mapped so that I can click button twice to bring up list of running programs/3 times to bringup action menu) - it's not too bad..

still - the only thing I actually like with it is the email/sms previews...

I have finally given up on TF3D. It was making my device unusable. I also hated the fact that when I opened the keyboard, it gave me a different screen. (The one with the 8 buttons). I can't count how many time I'd click on 'reply' in an email and slide out the keyboard expecting to be able to type my message only to get that damn 8 button screen again.

I've disabled TF3D and now the device is actually great. I would use the HTC Home App, but I cannot figure out for the life of me why they need to incorporate such a giant clock. -I know that you can change the style. This device (and its previous model the Vogue) are meant to work by "Touch". So why did they make the buttons for -email- -text- and -missed calls- so damn small? I would be willing to bet that I accidentally touched the stupid clock unintentionally bringing up the clock settings more times than I actually opened the intended application.

IMHO, HTC is making some really cool devices, but they are making these great looking apps that slow their devices down and do nothing except look pretty.

I tried the new version 1.1.2 and felt that it was a little slow opening applications. Like trying to get the calendar took a little longer than usual to get to. I had disabled TF3D and no background image for ifonz. I had also disabled the animations thinking it would speed things up.

Is there some tweak that you know of to speed things up? I like interface, which makes it easy to get to your commonly used programs.

I tried to like the tf3d interface, but I just could not. The flippy-sweep movement and the lag on it was just too much. Switched to SPB Pocket Plus and am very pleased with the results. I'm still customizing it and will probably need to add a couple plugins but so far it is far more to my liking and my style of usage than the tf3d interface.

Dumped it here as well. It is pretty but it's not terribly functional compared to other alternatives and a complete waste of the phone's resources.

TF3D is good in terms of both functionality and form IMHO. Now, I think that if TF3D didn't exist and the phone came with some basic today plugin...and if some dude over at XDA made a freeware app similar to TF3D then everyone would jump at it like a pack of hounds. It's a simple case of not being happy with things - good or bad that are easily available...Again this is my 2c...doesn't have to coincide with what everyone else thinks. I'm happy with it anyway. Good luck to everyone else in finding what suits their interests best.
