Anyway, it's all good. I'm on my first day. So far, it's all love. And I'm coming from an rlToday + mortscript+totally tweaked experience where I hardly ever drew the stylus on the mogul. All buttons + dpad there. As others have said, if WM has a strength, this is it. It doesn't force you to run anything. And I bet the TP runs mobile shell really well - lots of ram, lots of screen. Should be pretty nice. |

Honestly. i have never used TF3D. I'm a spb mobile shell/pocket plus fan, and installed them first thing. The touchflo looks great and all, but i'm very happy with other available options. And like schettj said "And I bet the TP runs mobile shell really well - lots of ram, lots of screen. Should be pretty nice". I very much agree.

Re: Who is tired of TF3D and are not using it anymore?
I tried to like TF3D, but after a week I decided the sexy eyecandy wasn't worth waiting for. Some of the tabs were just too slow to load while others were useless. I switched to UltimateLauncher and I'm pretty happy with it. I set up 5 tabs but don't show the tab labels, just 5 sides of a "cube" I can get to by swiping left or right. The shell is set to use full screen.
Home tab: TodayAgenda (great app!) and stock messages plugin (anyone suggest a better, more visual messages plugin?) Applications tab: full screen with 20 finger-friendly icons, no labels Utilities tab: more apps like previous tab, just sorted out Entertainment tab: launch icons for music, video & games Configuration tab: UL, AEB+, TF3D Tweak, Diamond Tweak, Dictionary Editor, Gyrator, etc. plus Weather-to-Go plugin (Any suggestions for better/prettier weather plugin? That was the only thing I miss from TF3D) This setup gives me a work-friendly home screen with quick access to all the other goodies. I'm a happy camper. |
Re: Who is tired of TF3D and are not using it anymore?
I had switched to SPB Mobile shell, but then I tried out TF3DHD and have to say it brought me back to TF3D. My main complaint with TF3D was only one Calender appointment being viewable, but with the latest version of HD I am able to view up to five at a time, I also like gaining back the ability to quickly access multiple programs (more than could be added in SPB) quickly turn on/off radio, a dedicated call history tab, a quick calender to view the upcoming weeks, the weather tab (more accurate than SPB weather in my opinion), Quick music access, and being able to see a preview of my emails to sense the urgency of them.

yea I jump between spb shell and tf3d but I seem to gravitate toward tf3d more often.

Re: Who is tired of TF3D and are not using it anymore?
I recently switched to WAD (Wisbar Advanced Desktop). I've been a fan of it for a while but haven't had a device prior to the TP that made it a viable option. WAD is very powerful and extremely customizable. At the moment I'm working on a layout based on the BB Storm icons. I'm not trying to make it look like the Storm per se, I just like the icons.

Re: Who is tired of TF3D and are not using it anymore?
I like TF3D. I'd use it if I could integrate it with Flexmail. Instead, I just use the stock Today screen with the Flexmail plugin to show me my unread messages at a glance. I also have EF Comm to turn on and off Bluetooth, WiFi and Radio with a single tap. Works like a charm for me.

I turned it off shortly after I started playing with the phone.
