Parental Controls on the Touch / Touch Pro
 

Anyone know of a parental controls program for the Touch or Touch Pro that will block porn sites and the like? They are not compatible with Sprint's parental controls.

I've never heard of any, but that doesn't mean they're not out there. I wish I had a parent that would buy me a touch pro......

Thank goodness my parents don't really ask about that. I think they trust I'm old enough to make my own decisions!

I don't think they'd be too shocked if they find I have accessed... pr0n on my phone... They'd just be shocked at... well,

How about giving them a phone that does not surf the internet? Why would ANY child NEED a TP and not be old enough to see pornography? If his moral values are correct, then he won't look at it. If you don't trust him, he will go to his friend's house and watch porn...

I don't get it...

Most phones that can text can access the Internet but in a more limited fashion, but I am sure they can still see pictures, so most phones are probably not safe for porn... :D

My hat's off to ya man. That's a hard thing to accomplish it seems now a days. But I've gotta say, If you know what you have, why risk it? You yourself need to be that "parental control". Better yet, here's an idea, take a picture of all your stuff, then rip it in half and carry that around in your wallet. that ought to keep ya on the straight and narrow... lol. :mrgreen:

and just to set the record, I'm 28, single and damn happy.

I applaud your restraint and morality. It takes a lot of faith and work to resist temptation like you do. I hope you stay happily married!

You need to remove temptation if you feel weak.

Just because you have a lock in one hand and the key in the other won't stop you.

You should seek help if you are that worried and cannot control yourself. There is more to this story then is being told.

If you don't seek the porn, it's not going to show up. I mean, why would you be worried about blocking it unless you're going to porn sites out of impulse or something?

Sadly I found this thread because I have a hard time viewing porn on my touch pro, and I wondered if there was ALREADY some type of parental control I could unlock. It will show the thumbnails on the porn sites, but when you click on them it just shows a blank IMG link!

Are you using Opera? It may be a javascript code that it can't run.
