Whats your favorite reg edit program?
Hello guys,
Just wondering what you guys like to use to edit the registry of the touch pro. Since not all software works with the TP, i felt it was better to post here and not software section. |
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?

Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I installed regedit.Stngr_ARM.CAB. The application will display the keys but will not allow me to see values. Is this the right cab or is this noob doing something else wrong ?

Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I've used PHM for years and have become very attached to it. However, I've noticed some issue when editing certain values on the Diamond and Touch Pro. When I use Resco or SK there are no problems. So, I made the switch.
Dotfred's task manager also has a nice reg editor. |
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I use Total Commander.
It is a great file explorer and it has a built in registry editor, ftp client, and LAN browser. best of all, it's free. |
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I have been using PHM until today, but I don't like using/supporting products with a stalled development cycle (especially stalled for 6 years). Not that PHM RegEdit needs a lot of improvements, but at least update some graphics to be more VGA friendly and call it 1.0 already considering the functionality is pretty solid.
I finally broke down and tried out Total Commander today... I like it so far, although I'll be looking at some other alternatives too. |
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
how do i edit registry with total commander? I can only see file explorer when I open total commander
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
\\Plugins\Registry ... took me a minute to figure that out too, lol. Same with the FTP/LAN browsers.

Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I was curious about that too. i use TC, MM and REGCE on desktop. I must say MM is the best. Most user friendly. The help index is extremely well done. It's the all around best. Which is probably why it cost a few bucks.

Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
Resco and CeRegEditor from the desktop...
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I use Resco and I love it. I need to check out CERegEditor. I have not used it before.
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
CeRegEditor has a great backup option as well as a compare option, I love this for comparing changes and fixing things after I screw them up. Plus using the computer is much easier than the small screen and keyboard...
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
Can you do a reg edit from your computer on only on the phone?
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
def. total commander. not as smooth as some of the others but the fact that i can do everything (file explorer, reg editor etc.) all in one app seals the deal for me
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
A combination of Resco & Total Commmander
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I prefer Resco's, because its finger friendly [flick scrolling] and has a nice GUI
|
Re: Whats your favorite reg edit program?
I cant seem to make a back up of my registry with Total Comm. So I used PHM cuz its free and it works.
