Geeze this thread sucks. Best Buy does not giive 2 ****s about you being a Sprint customer. They only care about you being their customerr.
I am guessing that you are hesitant to return the phone because you don't want to lose your number. I cannot advise on that situation. My friend is having the same problem with his Treo 800w. Also the Best Buy Performance Service Plan is complete and total garbage regadring a Sprint branded phone. I am not going to get in to this discussion, but the plan changed MANY years ago. It used to be great, back in 03, when I purchased my Treo 600 from them. About the time the Treo 650 came out they changed it and I threw such a fit I got them to exchange my Treo 600 to a Treo 650, the PSP is not worth it now, trust me.
I have to say, that after myself and my friend have had problems, I will NEVER buy a phone from Best Buy again, their discount just isn't worth their incompitence. Call Sprint retentions. Tell them you want to return the phone to Best Buy and have them order you the phone at the new customer price. Alternatively, if you can reproduce the errors, active Sprint insurance and get the phone replaced.
