Gmail and Google Calander
 

A couple of questions:

Is there a way that i can update my gmail so when i view a mail message on my phone, it shows up as viewed when i go to gmail from my computer?

Also, is there a way to sync the phone's calendar with google calendar?

Use IMAP. For calendar + contacts, I'm using nuevasync. Within the next week or two they should be supporting Gmail directly through nueva, so you don't have to use imap on the phone.

I just learned about GooSync. It syncs your gmail calendar and works very well.

Nuevasync is better, doesn't require any crappy programs to be installed. Works much better than goosync/oggsync for me, and is free to boot.
