GPS not working...Sprint T.Pro
Ok, right until 2 days ago, my Sprint T.Pro GPS worked fine with TomTom/Google Maps/GPS Test/Route 66 Nav 7 and so on.
Out of curiosity i decided to try out OnCourse Nav 8 (same thing as iGo i think) and right off the bat it couldn't lock on to any GPS sats at all, plus the app kept changing my time zone to GMT (found a fix for it anyway). I fiddled around with it for a day and realized that compared to TomTom i didn't like the app, it's not as intuitive as TomTom. I fire up TomTom and it can't lock on to any sats. I groan and begin checking out the usual COM ports settings. I fire up GPS Test and it finds the GPS on com 4 but nothing else. I backed up with SPB backup, hard reset and still nothing. Thankfully i still have my Bluetooth GPS receiver and have been using that all day. So basically, the internal GPS is being recognised by all these apps but just not working or something is wrong somewhere. Any help pls, i need to fix this issue. |
Re: GPS not working...Sprint T.Pro
Do you have Location turned off by accident? It needs to be on.

Re: GPS not working...Sprint T.Pro
Did you lose your fix? Run quick GPS and let it sit and get a lock.

EDIT: Well i turned it on, ran GPS Test and rightaway, it started picking up sats (yellow at first) then green... Question though, about the location being turned on, if i were to be off network, it would still work standalone right? |

Re: GPS not working...Sprint T.Pro
I've never been able to get any programs to work with GPS if I had 'location' turned off. I think that is the on/off switch for gps. location on = gps on. location off = gps off. Someone please correct me if I am wrong? Also, if i'm wrong, please explain how to get gps to work within applications when I have location off
