Touch Pro PROBLEMS-SOLUTIONS for everyday use

Before you read please be advised that I am no expert I am trying to help but please correct me if I am wrong.

Please let me know if this helps you

Well the phone is Nice-looking but its not as productive as the mogul yet (hopefully after the update), for those of you who have both phones you know what I am talking about.

Ok Here’s a list of some of the everyday problems

1) HEAT and CHARGING HEAT! I think the battery is good it’s just that the phone has bad architecture in where things are located.
Temporary Fix- what I realize is that Touchflo pulls a lot of power and resource, what I did was go to settings and unchecked the settings under Today. I was able to stay on the phone for 2-3 hours with the charger plugged in with very little heat and still have 85% charge in a basement!!!. I also took the battery back cover off. And for the next 2 days without touchflo, the battery life lasted a lot longer….my first week with touchflo was about 4-6 hours with little usage, the next week 9-12 hours with touchflo off and same average usage. The charger heat almost disappears.

Also try

2) Speaker volume, there is a link for this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42730

3) Flash….Google is your friend! I use tcpmp, I think its better than the buggy flash 3.1

4) Messaging word completion

again i hope this help the newbies and correct me if i am wrong

1) Heat issue: That's quite interesting. I'm switching off TF3D now. I'll check this out today and let you know if the phone still does the same thing...

Not getting rid of TouchFlo3d. We shouldn't have to do that...

Hmm, that would lead me to believe that the weather app (or some other hack) is causing the active data connection on yours and the active data radio is heating up. Possible, but easily remedied in Settings.

Be extremely careful with the Word Completion hacks... even though I've posted a known-working patch, there is still something in the core ROM that is reverting the settings back from time to time, so you may find yourself re-applying the patch every other day or so.

That's also my conclusion! touchflo applications triggering the radio

wow I hate to revive and old thread but you have just saved me alot of headache. I'm getting better battery life now than before. with that said though will a future rom update fix this issue? Well as much as I liked touch flo it's not worth draining my battery now i just have to google a htc home for a vga screen.
