Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

A couple of nights ago, before I went to sleep, I attempted to turn off the data connection manually. Everytime I shut off the connection, it popped back on after a few seconds by itself. What is accessing our data?

Weather and e-mail for sure, but it depends what else you got on your phone I suppose.

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

Well I have two nights under my belt after a hard reset. Both nights = no problems. I have all the same software installed on the tp, but no regedits. It has to be in the regedits. Because I can't handle the battery going dead in 4 hours I will start with the performance hacks one by one to see what is causing the freeze up issue while charging.

Not much of an update, but making progress....

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

Anyone got any new ideas to the cause of this problem? My phone never did this until the night after I did a restore from a backup now it locks up every night while charging. Any clues to cause would be appreciated.

I didn't have the patience to baby the phone anymore... I gave up and switched to blackberry. No more unexplained overnight power drains=D>

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

I think that restoring from a back up with a "slightly" different ROM version is what causes this. I returned my 1st TP to bestbuy and used SPB backup to restore my data. SPB backup notified me that the new phone had a different rom on it than the previous phone. I did the restore that night. When I woke up in the morning, my phone was frozen. I did a hard reset and did a fresh reinstall of my data and have not had a problem ever since.

Re: TP Locking Up Overnight

I am using JDTP6.1 now and I haven't had the problem. I only had the problem when I used the stock Rom with a whole lot of performance and battery regedits. Crossing my fingers, but I almost sure the problem lies in a conflicting regedit.

Anyone have the problem w/o any regedits?
