Sprint Startup Sound/Animation
 

All,

Does anyone know where I can change this startup sound - you know - when the Sprint animation is doing it's little thing?

i believe the startup sound is named phoneon.wav, if u make a wav file and rename it phoneon.wav , paste it in the windows folder and click yes to overwrite, that should work, just annoying tryna find a clip that short so i just cut mine off

Thanks, that wasn't the one, though....this "phoneon.wav" plays when the green Windows screen pops up....There is one that plays when Sprint is booting up - when that animation is going on and for me, it just makes an irritating BONK sound. I want that eliminated....Been looking in the registry adn ca't find anything yet....

Darren,

Is this Advanced Config the one that is kinda gimpy and doesn't work super well or have all the teaks been worked out yet? I just have my phone perfect and don't want to hard reset it again.....

I don't get any "bonk" sound with the Sprint logo, strangely enough. I do get annoying WinMo chimes and a melodramatic sound when I shut down the TP though. And I'd like to figure out how to eliminate those plus the wi-fi "scream":

Nagual - in the Windows dir, there are two files - PhoneOn.wav and Phone.Off.wav. Replace them with null files and you should be golden.

Yeah, I get a boink before the annoying chimes. :-)
