youtube aplication messages
 

hey guys, i have tested this on 2 touch pro's from sprint, and so far i have gotten the same result from both,, when ever you try and send a video from the youtube application by clicking on the folder, i get an error message that says "The message(s) could no be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again" i have all bars on my signal, and i have the all for 99 plan with sprint, so i dont know what the problem could be, maybe a possible bug??
any help?? thanx in advance!!:)

when i go to youtube.com on the browser, the video dont load. is that expected ?

Umm, why do you need to go to youtube.com? There is a dedicated program for watching youtube videos that is perfect. On the homepage when you scroll to the left and go to the Opera Browser, underneath it there is a link to watch youtube videos. Click it and it opens up the youtube program.

Remember the full youtube.com page is very fancy that I doubt the Touch Pro could go to.

stock opera mobile doesn't support flash sites like youtube. I believe you can download the flash lite 3.1 plugin to enable it (i'm not positive on this), but then it really slows down your opera browser (so i wouldn't do it anyway). the skyfire mobile browser supports flash sites, but they're still working on a vga version that's compatible with the touch pro. their current version works, but it's qvga quality and has some issues. sign up and download it at http://www.skyfire.com

oh, and the above poster has a point. the touch pro comes with a youtube application and it's pretty damn nice - but for other flash sites, i'd go with skyfire.

Touch Pro can play YouTube videos using the stock Opera 9.5 and the embedded Proprietary HTC Streaming Media Application.

HTC's Streaming Media application displays the video in both view modes. (stretched)

Not sure why yours is not loading the videos.

Make sure it is redirecting you to the m.youtube.com site, that is the site for streaming to phones (if you do not want to use the youtube application, which is better). Streaming Media player should launch automatically when you pick a video from the m.youtube.com site.

I have a problem with that app... on my device it is very LAGGY.. the audio plays well before the speech and some times vise-versa I have YET to see 1 video on there that has been in perfect sync..

any thoughts on this would be great!

How is your signal there? For me I live near Los Angeles, and my signal strength is great. I have yet to have 1 laggy youtube video.

Extremely solid. Full bars and it acts like it is studdering.. my device as a whole lately has been acting up.. at any given time I only have about 38% of my memory avalible.

anyone know if the Touch HD youtube App has been ported over to the Diamond/Pro?
2 added features: upload/post videos directly to your youtube account and has a categories in the top-center menu...

Anyone else having problems playing videos form the YouTube app on the Touch Pro? They are pretty much unwatchable for me. I can pause it and wait for the entire video to download and it still plays crappy. What gives?!?!

i have mine set for High Quality and I have no issue. My friend had his iphone and we compared and his looked pixelated. LOL. I felt bad for him cause he jumped the band wagon. Just had to mention that.

I had mine set to Auto Select. I will change it to HQ and see if that fixes it.

Nope...still jerky. But it does seem that it's not like that on all videos so I don't really get that one. Some videos will play fine while others are really jerky.

Ok I tried to access one of the videos I was having problems with by going to the mobile YouTube site in Opera and they play without a hitch but look and sound like crap!

Which one are you trying to view on youtube. Maybe I can see if that video plays choppy on mine too.

Odd as this sounds, my Pro is the same way... the youtube videos play like crap, but on my diamond, before I traded it in, I played the same movies and videos on it and they played so smooth and everything looked perfect. People were really impressed with how they played. So impressed that I had got people to convert over to smart phones. I just don't understand whats wrong with the touch pro though. Its really odd.

I'm trying to view Josiah Leming Performs Grace Kelly and it's taking a while to load. Is this the right one? There are sevaral Josiah Leming Grace kelly videos.

It was loading slow cause of reception so I went outside. It loaded fast and in some parts of the video it skipped but wasn't jerky.

tried playing around with a few things today - noticed that when I turned bluetooth off everything played very smoothly. Please try this on your devices and see if it helps and post back.

My youtube app just quit working. When I launch the app you used to get a screen of videos that you could scroll through. Now it just says "No videos" if I try searching for a video it just keeps searching. I tried going to www.youtube.com through opera and got redirected to the mobile version and the videos play fine. I have tried rebooting any other suggestions?

Yea mine stopped working too, it was working fine yesterday. Guess youtube changed something that broke the app? Hopefully this means HTC will forced to release an update soon :)

Some kind of temp problem I hope...rest of my internet works normally but right now when I launch the YT app it doesn't even load the greeting screen with the video suggestions & a box comes up saying "No Videos."

This is funny because this morning i did a hard reset then i noticed this problem. i thought i was going to have to do another hard reset to get it working again.

It's even more odd. Won't load the greeting videos, or let me search, but I can still play whatever's in my history already inside the app.

Waiting until it "fixes itself" hopefully.

Same problem here on a titan and vogue who could use the app a few days ago. Now getting no videos on both.

Same here... I have a touch pro and it was working fine till 2 days back and it stopped working from today. Even search does not come nor does it show any videos that was earlier showing up as default and it says no video. Even if I search it is just searching....searching..... no results... For some it immediately says no video.

youtube is working now. Still no volume control. Before, pressing the volume control buttons just forwarded and rewinded the video for me. Now it just brings up the system and phone volume screen but doesn't affect the volume of the video
