Thank you very much for this, I really appreciate it. I was going to go to a custom ROM, but this will work nicely. My GF loves you for it. She kept killing my battery life and was irritated when she couldn't talk to me. She kept saying what a POS this is compared to her iPhone. Hahah.


Will the Tweaks only work with the AT&T HTC Fuze? I have 2 buddies that have them and would love this. They keep complaining about the sluggishness of the phone.

Hmm, I can't promise it will work on the Fuze, since it's GSM instead of CDMA... a few of the tweaks I do make improvements to the CDMA settings, so it might mess things up. If I get a chance, I will try to post a Fuze-compatible version of Tweaks Only later tonight for you to try.

OK, here's the AT&T Fuze Tweaks Only package... all it does is the registry tweaks, well... most of them. I obviously stripped out the ones that were CDMA phone specific, but otherwise, all the good stuff should be there.

Since I don't have a Fuze to test this, I consider it a "beta" release, so you should backup any important data and be prepared to do a Hard Reset on the device if it screws it up. If it works, let me know, and I'll post it to the initial posting... if it doesn't work, let me know, and I'll take it down so nobody screws themselves over. :)

No worries man, I will have my buddy put it on in a few and will report back later tonight or first thing in the morning. He just had to do a hard reset after the HTC update anyway, so his stuff was just backed up.

Well, I just installed it and it seems to be working just fine after a restart of the phone. One thing I will say was that it was a lot quicker to install than the one for the sprint phones.

Well, after some testing it seems that the .cab messed the Fuze up. It would not allow him to send an outgoing text, incoming texts would not give any notification at all, even when it was set in the notifications screen. We had to do a hard reset on it.

Thanks for trying Good, but my buddy got all bent since he has to sync on my PC and is having to do too much work. I guess he isn't into it as much as I thought that he would be. I would be more than willing to test it out more for you, but he just gets annoyed too easily. If you have any other questions on it, feel free to PM me.

Help neede!!! I had a friend install a custom rom on my phone HTC Touch pro and now I'm having major problems!!! I was able to use the new window 6.5 for a few days then the phone locked up on me and I couldn't enter my 4 digit security code. I did a hard reset and now the touch screen is working properly. I cant get past the align screen portion of reboot. Can anyone help me? It acts like the touch screen sensitivity is set really low.

Are you saying it does not respond at all when you use the stylus to press the middle of the crosshairs?

Also, since you indicate you're using a 6.5 custom rom, you should really be asking the provider of the rom.

Yes when I try to boot up and get to the align screen portion, I tap and tap and nothing is happening. i don't know what to do.

I did the full and my phone's data isn't working nor is the phone feeling anywhere near responsive.

i am a bit slow when it comes to all these programs. please help! i have a phone that has mighty rom. the phone is a touch pro with sprint. how can i remove mighty rom and add all the sprint programs back into the phone? i dont really care if the phone has the mighty rom i just need all the sprint apps back. please feel free to email kristykroh@yahoo.com with any steps or directions. i would be so graeful.

the TWEAKSONLY.CAB just removes the music banner and renames it sprint and loses the tv tab right???????

The Tweaks Only only performs registry tweaks and does not make any modifications to your files or setup.

You'll probably need to turn on the "Location Setting" in Start > Settings > Phone > Services > Location.

I found that the tweak package was marvelous. It did exactly what it said it would do, saved me a couple of hours of finding and changing settings, and cleaned up the menus far better than I probably would have on my own.

The only thing I changed after installing it was how the auto-spell-t9 stuff worked, because I'm still playing to see how I like it. I'm tempted to install the change to make it like my mogul was because that worked for me, and this t9 really doesnt.

Thanks for putting it all together! The next best thing to a custom rom.
Altho with my current battery life (2-6 hrs only) I'm thinking seriously about installing wm6.5 soon.

Do the tweaks include the unhiding of the "Mode of Operation" phone setting menu where you can pick 1x only, Hybrid, EVDO only?

Well, it allows you to choose "Sprint Only, Automatic, or Roaming Only" which I suppose is what you want... you can often get EVDO signal even while roaming, depending on your area.

No, it's different than "Roaming" settings.

There is another setting called "Mode of Operation".
When you select "Get Settings..."
You get:
* Hybrid
* EVDO only
* 1X only

It forces the phone into 1xRTT only (no EVDO) or EVDO only (no 1xRTT data). With Hybrid being the standard operating mode. It's important expecially for people that live on the fringes of EVDO reception, as their phone will often switch back and forth constantly draining the battery excessively.

Oh, are you talking about the setting in EPST? If so, no, this makes no such modification since there is no programmatic method for me to acquire your MSL code and script that change.

It's a registry edit. Very useful if you live on the fringes of EVDO and your phone keeps hunting for it, draining the battery quickly.

Enable hidden option of "Mode of Operation"
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting

Change the option HiddenPreferenceMode from 1 to 0
Change the option HiddenModeOperationPage from 1 to 0 <--Touch Pro

Then go to Phone/menu/option/service/and check in the list, "Mode of Operation" should be at the bottom. You have 3 choices, Hybrid, EVDO, and 1X.
Once you have checked the box and hit ok. You can switch back and forth without having to soft reset.

I just purchased my Pro a week ago and have liked it compared to my Q. I like it even more with the clean up...thank a bunch.

Can I change to the large icons clean up with clean up already installed? Should I do a hard reset first?

I saw a post on how the closing of programs is a little faster with large icons clean up.

No need for re-install, just go to Start > Settings > System > TouchFLO and enable Large Menu from there.

I just installed the cleanup. I did a search and really really hope this question has not already been discussed. If so, sorry.

I am having trouble setting up an email account other than gmail. I had all my accounts set up without a problem, but after installingthe cleanup, the IMAP option is the only option allowed. The option to change settings is grayed out and I can't switch any of my accounts back to POP. Yahoo is not working with the IMAP settings, so my sbcglobal.net account will not work.

How do I change this so I can choose which setting I want? Please advise!

Well I'm not sure what would cause this, but I have an Exchange, Hotmail, Gmail, and a POP3 setup all the time, so I know it's not caused by the cleanup package. What else did you install, and other tweaks have you done?
