Internet Sharing/Tethering w/ Bluetooth not working!
 

Well I've dug and dug and tried a few dozen things and can't get this to work. I've tried the directions as described in 'Touch Pro Essentials' and Schwartz' tethering cab.

I'm attempting to use the internet sharing so my powerbook (mac) can connect to the internet. It worked great with my Mogul.

With the TP, it will connect, but as soon as I open a browser or try to load a page it disconnects. This is driving me nuts!

Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

Anything yet? I've keep looking and have not found an answer anywere.

My best guess is that it's a download limitation. I've noticed if I browse to simple/small sites I can get through a handful of them before being booted, where as if I go to a large site (like apple's startpage) it will boot me off a the same spot in the upload every time.

Maybe there is some type of limitation that kills the connection once it's reached. Could someone who knows more please look into this?

i have the same problem on my mb, but it did work with my mogul, but i have also heard it is a problem with leopard, my cousin connects her tp with her mbpro running tiger works flawlessly

sometimes i am able to get it to work, when i test it and dont need it, but when i do need it doesnt work

has there been any progress fixing this issue? just got my TP and get the same disconnects with ICS on my MBP (leopard). driving me crazy! my mogul was 100% solid.

I also have the same problem with 10.5 So i use wmwifirouter is so much faster bro and it never disconnects unless you dont have signal.

here i dont know if you have tried it but here is an older version that is free

can you tether via bluetooth through WMWIFIROUTER? is it only for an XP machine or does it work with a mac?

WifiRouter is to set up a wifi hotspot, so no bluetooth. You may be able to BT tether with a xp machine through the internet sharing app in programs, but I havn't tried it. I know BT tether does NOT work on a Mac with the TP. You have to use WifiRouter to tether with a Mac.

My Mogul BT tethered pretty well with my mac and other's xp laptops through the internet sharing app, I don't know what they changed in the TP...

so i use wifi to access the connection? is there a walkthrough for this process? sorry for so many noob questions:newb:
