Gmail labels not updating?
 

When i set up my gmail accounts the labels i have set up is not updating when i get new email. These would be labels that i have set up that i dont want to be notified about when they come but i can see that they are new when i go into the label. Any help plz...?

imap...i tried the java program with the add on ibm midlit but it didnt work.

Yea, I've had similar issues with the IMAP, the labels just don't update at all...

Im gonna hate to have to get my 4th gmail acct and be notified all day.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the problem, though. You have filters set to label a message, skip the inbox, and mark it as unread and this isn't happening? That sounds entirely like a problem with Gmail, and nothing to do with your phone. Your phone has no involvement with the labels.

yea thats correct. i have it set up that exact way. "if" the java would work it would be great like it is for the blackberry. the labels with the emails(count) would show right after it loads. it didnt work here. i have tried to set up 2 accts with no labels(with counts) showing mail.

You have to check the folders you want to see. By default none are checked and you see all mail.

By default, on the phone you will get all email in the inbox. As jimd144 said, labels on gmail show up as separate IMAP folders on IMAP, so you will need to chose a different folder for your inbox.

im a rookie with this thing. to break it down here is what i did to see my labels with "current" mail from your in box:
1. go to menu
2. manage folders
3. check the label boxes that are empty
4. send/receive
