It's always hard to accept on first few scratches, but after that, my "I got insurance" mentality kicks in.

yeah dont blame ya thats what insurance is for (damage) right? because if its a defect then you would find out about it before the 30 day exchange period correct?

wait. what do you say when you go into the repair center...there is nothing wrong with my phone except that I dropped it and now there is a little knick in the chrome...give me a new one?? And they'll do it?? Does not seem right. I have a feeling the angry lady at my repair enter would tell me to get lost....

I dropped my touch pro already. I was hopping out of my car and it fell out of my hoody pocket, it went flying and the next thing i know, it was on the ground with the back case and battery a good foot away from it... i thought it was the end. I picked it up and luckily it didnt land on its face... not bad. I inspected the chrome and indeed, i had some damage to the sides. but not bad, it was only on the corner. Also, theres a small scuff on the back, but not too noticeable with the battery covers texture.

SO, what i really thought is that the thing might have broken though, maybe cracked lcd or maybe wont cut on (it just looks so precisious!) To my own surprise. It has no problems and runs like normal, im happy.

Mine was mint until yesterday. My three year old was talking to her mom who is out of state and dropped it. There is a little ding on the Chrome now.

I bought the Krussell case before I even bought the phone! No drops or scratches yet...

The case covers 3 of the bottom (keyboard) half corners with leather, but not complete coverage.

Is there even a flip-down-style case that covers all corners completely?!? Yes a rhetorical question since I've searched...

Many of the first TPs from the first batch have bad casing....if your esn is in the "list" you will get a new TP. The bad casing are very sensative and will break if dropped more then 5 ft. So go to the repair store and have them check your esn, YOU MIGHT GET A NEW ONE!

I can confirm there is a defect with the chrome as I have a chunk of chrome missing from my phone. I have been very careful and have not dropped or bumped my phone once. I'm guessing it was like that when I got it and I didn't notice for a few days. I don't feel bad about exchanging my phone because the chrome is the least of my problems. If it was just the chrome I wouldn't even bother.

Lol i was on the phone getting ready for work and when i went to run down the stairs to leave the phone flew out of my hand and fell about 12 ft and i was yelling 'NOOOOOOO" in slow motion watching it fall. And to my luck it landed on one of the pillows that are usually on my couch but my dog just happened to knock onto the floor a moment earlier. If my dog had not of knocked the pillow on the floor it would have hit my hard wood floor and i would have cried.

These things are more reliable than they seem. I had a more serious incident with my Mogul at the go-kart track. I was coming around a corner with the phone floating around in my hoody pocket, got rammed by someone behind me, phone went flying out across the track. Bounced on the concrete a few times, landed screen down, then got RUN OVER by another go kart. Just a couple scratches, screen was fine, phone worked fine. I decided at that point to swap it out anyway, because I had issues beforehand with the keyboard not working right.

Anyway, I bought my TP way back on the 24th at Best Buy, so my 30 days is closing in (doesn't seem like its been 3 weeks already). I have a nick in my chrome, but otherwise the phone is solid. Is there some kind of time limit on getting the phone replaced for having a bad case? Or if something does happen and the chrome cracks, will Sprint replace it even if it is 6 months down the road as it is in the MEID range? I have insurance anyway, but I'd prefer a new phone instead of a refub if something did happen.
