Full Myspace not working on Touch Pro anymore?
 

For some reason ever since yesterday, I can't pull the full myspace site up on my phone.... it just keeps on bringing up the mobile version even when I click on the desktop version link. It was working no problem since day one until yesterday. I don't know if myspace changed some coding or has some type of bug. Its getting annoying. Its doing it in IE and Opera. In Opera I did the config changes... but it was working perfectly before without it. Even with the changes, it pulls up the mobile site.


I even tested it on other sites... and myspace is the only one going on mobile.


anyone else dealing with this problem??

have the same problem. I never went to the full site, but it asked if i wanted to go mobile or full it never displayed the full site at all.

yep can no longer view the full myspace page i was able to when i had just got it but since then ive updated opera nd a ton of other stuff so who knows whats causing this

its not the touch pro....i have a palm treo and it does the exact same thing... I as able to view it on my pro via skyfire... of course I have the keyboard out and then load skyfire to view in full.

Hmmm.. Doesn't seem to be working for me now either. You could always change the opera settings to spoof another browser.

I already stated that I done this and it doesn't work either.



I think the people at myspace did something to where it reads the ISP... since it seeing "sprint mobile" or something of that nature somewhere, thats why its bringing up the mobile page. Myspace needs to fix this.

Easy way to test that theory... I used WiFiRouter to my laptop and pulled the page just fine and logged in with no problem. It's the browser.

Or more specifically the browser is still telling MySpace something that makes it push the mobile option on you.

Yeah im having the same issues as all of you guys are, i even installed the Beta version and had the same issue. I reverted back to an older version i had laying around and it worked just for the simple fact that it gives me the option to set the browser as desktop or as a mobile browser.

but don't you think its weird that myspace is the only site doing it? I can pull up facebook, youtube, google with no problems.

I had the same problem. Here's a way around it.

Google myspace.com on your phone.
Click on a link for anyones myspace page.
Once it loads go all the way over to the top right and click on Sign In.
That takes you to the myspace homepage.
Delete the bookmark that comes with the pro and add a new bookmark for myspace.

An alternative shorter fix, would be to simply go to your MySpace Bookmark and copy paste,

http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=splash

, into the URL field and hit Save. Problem solved!

I'm using IE (don't much care for Opera, I know I'm strange!) but I can't see myspace in full either. I pick that option and the page loads all garbled with all these weird lines on it. I know there's something out there that allows IE to be a desktop browser and not a mobile browser b/c once upon a time I did it on my mogul. I'm also wanting yahoo to show as desktop and not mobile. I've done some searching but I can't find it... anyone remember?

I have a way different problem. In Opera and Skyfire I go to the login in screen, put in my email and password and then when I click the LogIn button I go back to the login screen but in the location where you put you info there is a CAPTCHA puzzle.
So I tried the CAPTCHA puzzle and hit Log In but it takes me back to the same page over and over again.
Anyone else have this problem? I've searched all over and haven't found it.

same problem here on opera and ie. neither browsers open up myspace full

theres a setting under user prefs in opera called UAsomething-or-other. sorry i cant think of it right now, but i had the same problem and the User Agent spoof didnt work. but clearing the UA somethin URL and unchecking the box below it fixed it, as mentioned in another thread i cant think of at the moment. sorry for the really un-specific info but i'll look and edit in a bit.
