java text small (gmail)

i'm having a tuff time reading email via the java gmail (even with large txt settings). I'm assuming it's because of the VGA screen. Anyone know of a way around this?

How does this work out? Do we need the vga mod AND the other cab (not the 3d one), or just the vga one? Based on the filename, the vga is just an extension/mod FOR the actual .cab that has java, yes... no?
