Question for the Pros!?
 

I got a touch pro a couple weeks back, and I've had to format it once, and I think I gotta do it again due to installing somes programs that are making things worse rather than better.

Now my question is, can I create a rom that has my settings (like my reg hack for SMS, and pop email account settings), so I don't have to do it all again...

I know of back-up programs like Sprite. I just thought it would be nice to hit clear memory, and when my device reboots, all my main settings are there :)

BTW, I'm on an exchange server, so I don't have to worry about backing up my contacts, calander, or company email.

Sprite backup or Spb will do just fine for what you need. If you hard reset a 5 minute Restore will get you back up running as you were before you crash.

you could make a rom and have it restore all your reg fixes...email...etc by using whats called user customization...basically what i does after a flash is loads all your settings you tell it to from the sd card...its a one stop shop sort of deal...saves a few keystrokes here and there...you can even flash a rom which is uc compatible and it will do the same thing for you without having to futz around with cooking your own rom...

How do I use user customization? Is this an app?

And, how would I go about flashing a rom that is uc compatible?
