"Mark as Read" for email/msg while in Touchflo3D??
 

Is there anyway of "Mark as Read" or "Mark all as read" for emails in the Touchflo3D interface without clicking the messages or going into the inbox??


its annoying and "too much steps" to sit there and open the messages and exit out, etc. Atleast with the Windows Mobile Email/Msg notifications you can save as read from that.

Install the attached cab and you can use the Menu > Mark All As Read option.

Although it doesn't give you the option directly from TouchFLO, at least you can open the Inbox and then do it fairly easily.

I'm wondering however, if you're interested in testing it out, that perhaps you could do this:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\OutlookEnhancement], set Module to \\windows\\InboxMenuExtensibility.dll

That might allow the Reply All left softkey to become Mark All as Read... or not.

I think what he (and many) are looking for is a way to skip having to go into the inbox or poutlook all together and be able to mark a message read right from the touchflo mail tab. Most specifically, having the email mark itself read when looking at it in the mail tab preview or, an alternative to be able to delete/mark read from the touchflo mail tab soft key menu. This would be very beneficial for those of us who get a ton of email daily. (especially those in IT that get tons of email alerts..etc)

I can't find any manilla edit or reg key so far and Im guessing (tho hope someone proves me wrong) that its a built into manilla.exe and cant be change without some major recompiling of the program.

exactly.. I already have the inbox add-ons. I usually go into my inbox and "mark all as read" from there. It just would be easier to do it from the Touchflo3D mail tab menu... especially in situations like work, driving, etc..

Oh, I totally agree it would be beneficial... I just wanted to provide the closest alternative I could and something to test. I've found plenty of places in TF3D that I would change the menus if I had the opportunity.

Yeah I think its a huge miss on htc's part. Something so simple would be a huge time saver, at least for myself.

nope. this is probably something that will not happen with a simple edit but will take some deep programming to do. its possible as custom versions of manila have been made before.

I use S2U2 to mark them read. it's quick and convenient.
