Obtaining Touch Pro MSL

I have GetSPC and used this program flawlessly on my Mogul to obtain its MSL but when I type in my HEX ESN from my TP it is not giving me the correct MSL. Any ideas on why this is?

Baffles wrote a program that will get this for you, he just posted it up in another thread. Link to the page on his site: http://www.baf.cc/bafmsl

You will need to install .NETCF 3.5 if you haven't done it yet, which you can find here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...1&d=1226021215

Remember to restart your phone after you install .NET, or you'll get an error from Baffles' program. Also, if you're giving any thanks for this please thank Baffles as well since its his program. I originally heard of it here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...9&postcount=19

again too much work blah blah blah..

search and you shall find!!

* Start your favorite pocket-pc terminal program (like pocketPutty - http://www.pocketputty.net/)
* Connect to com9 (Putty used default speed of 9600)
* type in AT+HTC_RMSL=0 and hit enter, your MSL will be displayed.

takes about 5 seconds.

The MSL is the Master Subsidy Lock.. to obtain it you have to call Sprint. Its used for troubleshooting purposes and hard resets. The ESN is the phones serial number

I prefer opening the program and pressing one button, which this provides. I install .net 3.5 on my devices when I do customizations, so it's already there for me. Everyone has their own preference.

You can get it without calling Sprint.

Have you ever talked to Sprint Customer Service?!:violent2:
Besides if you just call and ask for the MSL, they get snoopy, asking all sorts of questions you may not want to answer!!!

I would rather run a program that takes two seconds to click a button than wait on hold for 10 minutes to talk to tech support. Just me though...
