Re: InvisibleShield vs Bodyguardz

Having just installed my invisibleshield...I can say that it feels smooth and is super clear. Only when I hold it up to a light to get a super glare at an angle can I see a bit of orange peel look. I'm super happy with it so far.

Re: InvisibleShield vs Bodyguardz

Anybody ordered from Bodyguardz or invisibleshield for their TP ??
The backside, does it look like the GSM version of the TP or does it look like this

Thanks

Re: InvisibleShield vs Bodyguardz

My full body Invisible Shiled arrived Friday evening, after I had already left for work. :( It took at least 2 weeks to arrive from the time I placed my order and my card was charged. I think they need to streamline their ordering process. If it wasn't quite ready for shipping, they should have waited to place it on their website or showed it as "out of stock."

As soon as I came home Saturday morning, I put it on my TP. As others have stated, there are many pieces, but no instructions as to where the individual pieces go. This another area that needs improvement. If they don't provide you with a CAD drawing showing you where the pieces go, you should be able to access that info though their website. After trial fitting all the pieces, I thoroughly cleaned the phone with a lint free terry cloth. I carefully peeled each piece and was generous with the spray. Once I had squeegied all the water out, it still looked like there was spray/air bubbles under the screen piece. But after several hours of letting the phone sit, everything smoothed out just fine.

My only complaint is that it is too tacky for my taste. While the sides are fine, I feel that the screen part is too tacky for TF3D, even with the screen sensitivity set to 200 via the registry edit. Since I don't use the styllus too often, the tackiness of the screen pieces prevents smooth sliding for TF3D. I ended up removing both pieces from the front of the phone and installed the stock screen protector for now.

I order the full coverage protectors from both Body Guardz and Ghost Armor to compare them with the Invisible Shield. I will reply back with my results.

Does Ghost Armor cover the whole of the TP body? Here are a few pics of invisible shield, looks like it covers only 90%...

Got the InivisibleShield, only used the spray on the back piece, the rest im more capable doing dry. For the areas it didnt cover (The front bottom/top chrome, Back part of speakerphone, power/volume buttons) I just cut out pieces from the leftover sheet and it worked perfect.

Is the orange peel effect pretty bad? Can you post some pics please?

I can only notice the orange peel if i hold the phone horizontal at eye level with a good amount of light glare.

Actually I bought the CDMA version directly off thier site. I've been a big fan of the Zagg products since my first Ipod.

The Pros: it protects it from scratches (which we all know it scratches very easily!)

It is for the most part invisible. I have not noticed any viewing distortion at all.

Perfectly pre-cut, easy to install

Installed, it greatly helps on accidentaly opening programs/folders when scrolling but does not really hinder the sensitivity.

The Cons: unless you get the full body version the screen portion only covers the screen! Not the entire front (4 buttons)
Using the stylus is difficult. It feels rubbery and you can't get the smooth slide with the shield installed.

Re: InvisibleShield vs Bodyguardz

I installed the InvisibleShield body kit on my Touch Pro and let it sit over night. In the morning everything looked pretty good except for to places on the screen and one place on the buttons. These places have a defect in the InvisibleShield. Maybe I should call it a blimish. The one is down in the dark section and not very noticeable but the other is just to the left of the middle of the screen. :-( I then started looking at the rest of the pieces on my Pro. There are quite a few blemishes. Most you really have to be looking for but it does tick me off. I also do not like the tacky feel of the screen. I do though love the tacky feel around the rest of the device. I have a BodyGuardz kit on the way and I'm going to replace the screen and buttons with it and see what I think. I'm going to contact Zagg and see if they will send me a replacement screen and button cover. Maybe it was just a bad batch of film?? Just my two cents worth. Hope it helps.
