Does the CD that comes with the Touch Pro?
 

not work with Windows Vista?
I tried to install it on my Windows XP computer and it opens on there just not on my Vista laptop.
Anyone else have this problem?

Vista uses device manager. Active Sync will not work.

I have vista and activesync works. You must have the phone hooked to the computer before INSTALLING the software otherwise it will tell you that you can't install. So basically, hook phone to computer, then install software.

The ActiveSync software is not compatible with Vista. Microsoft moved to the next version called Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC).

Make sure you have the latest 6.1 version of WMDC. You can download it HERE

Once its installed, simply plug your phone in and it will recognize it.

Yeah, thats what I meant....WMDC....BUT, i could not install the software unless the phone was physically pluged in first. When I tried to install software (without phone plugged in) it would give me an error and stop installing.
