Re: Touch Pro & Orb.

All I have to say is WOW, this product is truly AMAZING with ORB. I have been a long ORB fanatic since the early release of v1 beta, This is the greatest WM player i have used yet!!! The TV OUT cable i just made using CORE player 1.25 out to my 40 inch was sluggish using d3d and qtv was producing blue flashes(known problem), but this player was flawless, very easy to use, and a terrific interface. I love how fast the orb integration is this wil truely revolutionize my WM experience on my Touch Pro, thank all the Kinoma team for me, Can you give me the Pro's of paying for the full versions, features that are added vs free?

Rather than using Orb via their mobile web page, be sure to use Kinoma Play's (and Kinoma FreePlay's) built-in Orb support for the best possible experience.

You can log into your Orb server with Kinoma Play via Services > Orb. By using Orb this way, Kinoma Play and your Orb server will dynamically adjust the stream quality in realtime to provide the best-possible experience as the quality of your data connection fluctuates.

Kinoma FreePlay support is nearly the same as Kinoma Play's. Kinoma Play supports more advanced codecs that can provide the same quality at lower bitrates, so it can perform better under challenging network conditions.

I started up gyrator to get it to rotate. I couldn't find settings anywhere in the program. other than that though, this is a very nice app. I'll definitely be using it alot with all my ORB stuff, not sure if I'll use it for my main player for other stuff though.

But still, it'll always be on my phone.

I even went back and tried going through the browser and using WMP and the video was just as choppy as ever, though I was using Opera, not IE.

I can watch tv via orb on my touch pro. Just login to mycast.orb.com from PIE.

omfg!!!! this progam is like the best thing since sliced bread.... I love it... would never have known about it till that guy who suports it mentioned what it does!!! now.. if they can just get a button to turn it on its side.. instead of having to use gyrator.. it looks like this will take the place of tcmp/the core/pocket music.. still testing it out.. I like pocket music but this is quickly becoming a standard.... the premium version has more options.. but the free version has no strings attached.. worked beautifuly and solved all the ishues.. complaints.. annoyances of using orb... its fast.. it works.. and it just blows my mind... I wish I had learned of this program sooner.. definatly a must try out peice of software... and the second best part... it plays my audible audio books with out having to download them.. (defeats the purpose of having pocket music) and streams them off the server.. havent had the chance to see if it will play my allready downloaded content. (goes to test) YES.. it will play audible files allready dloaded.. .. its finger friendly.. havent had the chance to try my bt headphones out on it.. (misplaced them and now cant find them) but if any one has tried them.. let me know... I dont recomend programs all that often.. but my gods... this one is a must play with.. if you like it..great.. if not.. there are other apps out there..

I like the program streaming orb but is there a way to change the file associations with it? Rather only play videos on it. I couldn't find anywhere to change it on the program.

Re: Touch Pro & Orb.

I tried Orb using Opera Mobile and it didn't stream as well for some reason, but using PIE was really smooth.

I was able to stream live TV, tonight's episode of Family Guy, and an MP3 playlist without any hiccups. My default browser is Opera, so I'll just set my PIE home page to mycast.orb.com and I can use it as my "Orb App"

Also, as a test, I was able to run Music ID in the background while streaming with orb and it identified the song that was playing.

That's just sickening right there...

Re: Touch Pro & Orb.

agreed orb is great. and kinoma play is as well.
now, question. whenever i try to load a .avi from orb it give me a
"mime extension" error this happens for most the movies i watch from my phone, i have the paid version of kinoma play. but still cannot play movies directly from my phone, orb works but the video/ audio sync is off by 1-2 seconds, although the video plays really well. does the kinoma guy know what might be causing these problems?

and to answer your question about the autorotation, it works with the acceletometer on my diamond, but i think it was only when i loaded the gsen application.

I know last I checked Kinoma Play didn't support Live TV through Orb, is that still the case? If it is hopefully that is something that will be added as I would definitely be purchasing it if that was added.
