Anyone sucessfully put a Sprint Touch Pro on the VZW Network yet?

I was wondering if anyone had sucessfully put the Sprint Touch Pro on the VZW network yet?

I plan to buy a Sprint Touch Pro @ Full retail next week and was hoping that someone else had already had success adding it to the VZW network so that I could follow in their footsteps.

Wouldn't it actually be less expensive to buy the phone on a 2 year contract and pay the ETF than outright buying one?
$299 + $200 ETF = $499 vs ~$579?

then he would have to wait a month... and depending on what plan he gets it will be $499 + ?? ... still if you get a cheap plan its probably less expensive... personally i dont like waiting

Actually it comes out to about the same price minus the hassle. Ebay has them for about $500 new in box. I would rather buy one online and not have to deal with the cancellation issues (plus the fact they would pro-rate me for the monthly plan as well as bill me one month, which would probably make it more expensive.)

Im all in to spend the $500 on eBay as soon as someone can tell me how the heck I get it to work on the VZW network.

It's unlikely you be able to do that since CDMA is not like the 3G It was pretty unsuccessful with the mogul - IMO Move to sprint Data package is ALOT cheaper

you ask sprint to unlock the phone so you can use it on verizon, there was a law that enforce the carriers to unlock their phones so it could be used on other carriers.

It is technically possible to do this. Whether or not Verizon decides to accept a Sprint MEID / ESN is another story. Both Sprint and Verizon use the same cell technology (EvDO and CDMA).

just went to the store with my tp and its not gonna happen under vzw network for various reasons
device not being on the list
sedning the device in
device not having a vzw rom
and so on...that said I want to try this method
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20090
but when I called no one will add the ESN to the database and that's an issue also getting a vzw rom is another issue
I just bought the phone I'd love it on VZW network with a larger pagepool so let's not talk about what is possible...maybe some solutions to the table?

There is a leaked Verizon ROM here: ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Raphael/Stock%20R...51064_Ship.exe

Install it and it should be able to be activated.
