My buttons and keyboard aren't working
 

I have been searching, but no luck...
some time today my keyboard and buttons stopped working.
My on/off button still works, my 'home' button works, and if I hold the end call button, it'll give me the 'airplane mode, etc.' menu, but that's it.
If I slide out the keyboard, the phone will wake up, but I cannot type. If I have the OSK up, and tap a key on the keyboard the OSK disappears. If I hit the fn button, or shift, the little indicators light up, so I know it sees me typing.....
Any ideas? I figure I have locked it and don't know how.....

I would say it sounds like some kind of hardware failure and its time to contact sprint.

Try a soft reset?

Did you install any programs before it stopped working?

That's the first thing I did (soft reset).

I installed RDP last nite, but it worked fine until sometime today.

would suck if its hardware related.

are you able to get buttons to work to attempt a hard reset?

It will allow me to do a hard reset, but I don't want to try until I know there is not a simple answer.
What can I use to back up EVERYTHING on the device?

SPB Backup or Sprite Backup... both work pretty good for me...
