case that works with slide-out keyboard?

Anyone know of a case that works with the keyboard? I like the pouches, but the problem with those is that I only drop my phone WHEN I'M USING IT, NOT WHEN IT'S IN MY POCKET OR A HOLSTER.

I don't want to mess with the silcone skins because you'd have to take it off every time you want to use the keyboard (which is all day long for me). InvisibleShield or Bodyguards don't really offer protection against a cracked screen.

I got the one that Sprint sells (it's a two piece, hard black plastic), not too bad actually.

How thick/thin is it?

Re: case that works with slide-out keyboard?

I have it too... It is decent. It takes some of the slop/play out of the keyboard, and does a good job making the phone grippy...

my calipers say the phone is now 23mm thick...

Not too thick.. inch maybe? (not good with measurements, so my guess wouldn't do much good, hah).

I meant.. just looking at it, I couldn't gauge, and I don't keep a ruler handy :) and an inch probably is far too much.. hah, its been a long day, just got off from a loooong day of work.

How's this work with the keyboard? Doesn't look like it would be able to slide out.

The Monaco one from the 2nd link looks pretty nice. May have to go with that one.

Re: case that works with slide-out keyboard?

it's 2 pieces, it clips to the edges of the halves
i tried one in the sprint store, it allows the keyboard to open.
i have no use for it cuz i'd have to remove it everytime i put my phone in the proclip mount.

Works just fine. It's two pieces, one piece clips to the top of the phone, the other to the bottom.

thanks for the pic. is it real flush with the case or does the case really stick out when using the on-screen keyboard? I'm might just have to buy that one.

It's quite flush, and snug.

Got mine in store, so I imagine it'd be available in most.

Re: case that works with slide-out keyboard?

It looks just like a normal phone with the keyboard out. The plastic halves snap on the top and bottom halves of the phone with small hooks.

Re: case that works with slide-out keyboard?

Do you see any signs that this case may scratch up the sprint touch pro? I know how sometimes those cases that attach to sliding keyboards can be alittle too tight and with the sensitive crome on the pro, not sure what it will do in the long run.

I have that same case and it was really made for the GSM version of the touch pro. Fits alittle weird and off from the sprint design.

Re: case that works with slide-out keyboard?

i just picked one up at the store. removing the lower part is PITA. i had to take it off to remove the belt clip version. makes hitting the X a little hard and doesn't slide out with the spring effect but well worth it. now i'm not worried about dropping the phone.
