The auto adjusting backlight is *awesome*.

+1 on this. I went from inside, to bright outdoor light, to a theater all within minutes. It was the first time I noticed auto backlighting doing it's job. It was awesome. I know that in the past I always set it for the current conditions but it was great not having to set it manually. In addition, the screen is very readable in direct sunlight. I just commented on this yesterday.

YMMV,

Best thing about the auto-adjusting backlight? How smooth the transitions are.

It really does a great job. The customization is something that was really needed. The built-in implementation given stock is poor.
