whoa wait what? glass is not a conductor of electricity. The glass has 2 plastic films on top with electrically conductive microdots that register resistance as the two films come in contact.

Exactly... I had to read his post twice to see if I was crazy or not... Glass itself is not conductive.

yes your right glass is not a conductor ..my fault ..but they do use glass to put the layer of plastic .

Re: Careful the Screen is GLASS

I've broken 2 Touch Pro 2's with the same sort of crack. one was from a drop, but the other is a mystery. phone was a week old pulled it of my pocket (with the protective case i bought for good measure thanks to the 1st one) just two cracks from the center left to the bottomright corner.
So just as a word of warning. the phone is an incredible, but fragile tool.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/15954; U; en))

i have dropped my phone 4 times since i got it last feb, and only have 1 crack and a few scratch"s to show for it. they might have made the tp more durable but im not sure...
