Bluetooth for audiobooks/music ?
Hey All,
I'm coming from the ppc 6700 and am loving the HTC TouchPro so far; however I can't seem to get my bluetooth headset (Motorola HS850) to work for anything outside of phone calls. In the past with my 6700, once I started to listen to music or an audiobook I'd just hit the connect button on the headset and all sound from speaker would be transferred to the bluetooth. Now, if I have Voice Command enabled (which I never installed on the 6700) when I press the connect button, the voice command microphone pops up -- and temporarily I can hear music or my audiobook -- then within a few seconds of the disappearance of the microphone (presumably voice command senses no voice input) I lose sound to my headset. When I disable Voice Command, nothing happens when I try to connect via my headset (or if I hold down connect, it dials the last # I called); however I can easily answer and talk on the phone with it . . . Has anyone had these issues, and if so, is there any fix or work around ?? :???:. . . TIA |

I too am have the same problem. I guess I will have to use the wired head set it came with for now until the pros here can tell us to do.

Re: Bluetooth for audiobooks/music ?
Are you using a stereo bt or mono?

Mono headset. Without BTMusic, it will only do phone audio.

Re: Bluetooth for audiobooks/music ?
That is prob why you would need a program to force the sound to the headset if the headset is mono only, or get a stereo headset and it will rock..

Re: Bluetooth for audiobooks/music ?
I don't have a problem using my bluetooth headset for calls and stereo music/audiobooks.
That is, when I'm trying to use WMP or the Sprint Music Tab. Your connection settings should have options for your headset for both bluetooth stereo and a normal headset. I click both on, though when I'm done listening - I go back there and click the stereo off. In the past I've found that even the rings would get routed to my headset and I'd miss calls. I only use the standard bluetooth settings, I don't add any programs like the one listed above. I use the Jabra BT8010 headset, which is both mono and stereo. You can connect a second piece for stereo listening. When I've started listining to a music track, I can press one of the headset buttons to pause music. I can press it twice to go to the next track. When a call comes in, it pauses the music and interrupts. The only problem I've found is that the AVCRP drivers are locked to WMP and the Sprint Music Tab. So I can't control music with any other programs. Slide to Play works ok by running WMP in the background - but I found it too buggy to use. If Pocket Player found a fix for AVCRP controls - I'd probably buy it. |
