thanks for the suggestions. I'm not travelling, just sitting here and the phone turns itself on, so it has nothing to do with in/out of roaming or signal area.

I do think it might be related to Activesync. as a test, I turned off the data connection, wifi is off, and all programs were killed.

when I went back to it, the phone had established a connection via cell and Activesync was the only program running.

I don't use push email; how can I try the dummy exchange account to stop Activesync from running?

you dont need to do the push e-mail. using dot fred's task manager you can disable the process that polls the clock every few minutes. you have to adjust for going to new timezones/day time savings manually but it will stop active sync from poping up a data connection. and just to confirm you are not in a low signal area correct? you covered the not moving, but borderline signal can do the same tower switching even standing still.

got dot fred's task manager installed and running; how do I disable the clock polling process?

ok, I see that tmail.exe keeps appearing in the process list even though I kill it before turning off my phone. how can I prevent this process from starting up by itself? I have verified that my outlook account is set to download messages MANUALLY.

I cant find the guide that tells you which process to kill but the second part of the fix is outlined here ill keep looking.

I have this problem too with my Mogul. Hell, I used see this happen with my Treo 650 in areas of poor reception -OR- when I would travel abroad (e.g. Canada or Europe) and would keep my phone on.

I had so far 7 WM phones and HTC gave me the most wake ups
Treo wasnt that bad.

It is not the software you have ( I thought that at first ) but signal strength. Probably something related to cell towers.

I always happens in one of my rooms and few spots on the road that I take every day.


Don't kill urself over it since there is nothing you can do

I had so many posts about it with my other phones and nobody seems to be able to get that fixed.

Mogul used to do this daily if not hourly. I know its not software related because on my drive home, the mogul, and now the touch pro wakes up at a certain place...

I installed S2U2 and have it set to sleep/cut the phone when this happens, it works perfectly
