yeah I had the verizon one on my diamond too and I liked it a lot better. the Sprint TP radio isn't as bad as the stock diamond radio but it's not as good as the verizon one

yes it does, its on sprint TV now, but thats not the radio they're talking about.

The Radio is the phone aspect of your phone. It's the part that communicates with cell towers and crazy things like that these devices might be used for. (who knew they were phones anyways?)

Changing radios can usually lead to one or more of: better signal, faster data, less dropped calls, better battery life, enabled gps, etc..

For those reasons, it is nice to have different radio options, as they tend to be newer radios you flash, so they have the latest innovations and improvements.

If I'm not mistaken weren't touch pro's sold @ bb radio unlocked? Either way does anyone have just the vzw radio available for flashing?

LOL. Sorry man, I couldn't help myself. The Verizon and Sprint Touch Pros do not have a FM radio. The radio they are talking about is the unit that communicates with cell towers. By using a different "radio" in a phone, that means that you update the software that controls the hardware radio. Some radios get better reception than other radios. Unlock means that you can install different radios and ROMs on the phone.

There is a tutorial in the Touch Diamond forum that walks you step by step through unlocking and flashing custom ROMs and radios. I'll post the link to it below, but only use this as a reference right now.

Do not use the software / files that are listed in the tutorial, as they are for the Touch Diamond, and not the Touch Pro. Only use this to get familiar with the process.
