I have the diamond (selling on craigslist) and the pro. The pro is DEFINITELY faster than my diamond. I don't feel a need to change the ROM like I did with the diamond. Battery life is better on the PRO for me too.

Same processor. You might have got a bad Diamond--just like I have had THREE bad TPs. My current one has a crap screen, crap earpiece, crap speakerphone, and is slow as crap.

I talked to Sprint and they told me that insurance should get me a BNIB TP, regardless of where I purchased my original phone, (BB.)

I just traded in my Treo 800w for the Touch Pro. I like the TP much better. I do miss having the "OK" button, though. It's going to take some getting used to the new typing style. The Treo just had too many bugs. On the TP, when you launch a program it is faster than the Treo any day. I'm glad I made the change.

99% of the time, the center d-pad button IS the OK button. Just FYI
