Re: Crappy OEM Touch Pro case

Well, for sure, the measurements of the GSM model are different than the GSM....

So, here are the measurements of this device in centimeters. It may be in the documentation, but I got out the ol' trusty tape measure because I am getting a case custom made.

10.1L x 5.2W x 1.8D

The screen is:

7.5L x 5W

There is a guy on eBay who sells custom made cases so, you may consider him.

Speed is the diference.

SD Speed Class Ratings
SDHC cards have SD Speed Class Ratings defined by the SD Association. The SD Speed Class Ratings specify the following minimum write speeds based on "the best fragmented state where no memory unit is occupied":[19]
  • Class 2: 2 MB/s
  • Class 4: 4 MB/s
  • Class 6: 6 MB/s
SDHC cards will often also advertise a maximum speed (such as 133x or 150x) in addition to this minimum Speed Class Rating. See section "Speeds" in the article below for a further explanation. One critical difference between the Speed Class and the maximum speed ratings is the ability of the host device to query the SD card for the speed class and determine the best location to store data that meets the performance required. "Maximum speed" ratings are quoted by the manufacturers but unverified by any independent evaluation process.

Re: Crappy OEM Touch Pro case

I bought this one today and I'm really pleased with it! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcat17080&type=page&qp=crootcategor yid%23%23-1%23%23-1~~q70726f63657373696e6774696d653a3e313930302d3031 2d3031~~cabcat0800000%23%230%23%23o5~~cabcat081100 0%23%230%23%2356~~cabcat0811002%23%230%23%2339~~nf 398%7C%7C4564646965204261756572&list=y&nrp=15&sc=p honeOfficeSP&sp=%2Bbrand+skuid&usc=abcat0800000Nice soft leather and the touch pro fits like a belt in it. Its actually smaller than the pouch that the phone came with.
I got mine in black at BestBuy.

Re: Crappy OEM Touch Pro case

In regards to cases, the reason I want a very secure case is that

A.: The device is very expensive and I don't want to have to replace it because it fell on the floor
B.: The phone serves as both my cell and my pager vial text messaging so it is important to me to be able to access it easily
C.: I have about 700 bux worth of referrence programs on the device that I refer to daily so again, I have a substantial investment on that 8 GB MicroSD card
D.: Not to mention the GPS software

I have so far only received the cases I ordered from PDair. I hate the aluminum case since it is very awkward, but it holds the device securely on the belt clip. I also got the PDair leather flip type case and it is a total waste of money. First of all it has a very weak snap and the tab with the snap is not big enough to reach without it hitting the screen each time you close it and the Touch Pro is held in place by virtue of sliding the keyboard into a plastic sleeve that makes using the keyboard very difficult.

I am looking at several others that are out there.

For the original poster, if you have not already check out: Proporta, Piel Frama, Noreve, Krussell. The Bando case mentioned in an earlier post appears identical to the PDair flip type leather case.

Finally, for what it is worth, I think for 700 plus dollars HTC could include a 1/2 way decent case that is usable with the device. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Any good sites for docks and accessories yet?

Here's one I picked up at BB today http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcat17080&type=page&qp=crootcategor yid%23%23-1%23%23-1~~q70726f63657373696e6774696d653a3e313930302d3031 2d3031~~cabcat0800000%23%230%23%23o5~~cabcat081100 0%23%230%23%2356~~cabcat0811002%23%230%23%2339~~nf 398%7C%7C4564646965204261756572&list=y&nrp=15&sc=p honeOfficeSP&sp=%2Bbrand+skuid&usc=abcat0800000
Its a real soft leather case, actually smaller than the one supplied with the touch pro and it fits like a glove! I didn't think I'd find one as nice as this so it was a nice surprise. I got the black one.

Re: Crappy OEM Touch Pro case

I use this case for my Mogul. best case I've ever owned. Holds closed very tight (with three strong magnets), seemingly well made. Got it a few months ago, and it's still like it was new. Not too bad for 25 bucks http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=3191350
