USB charging cable

Can I use the usb charging/connecting cable from my 6700 (Apache) with my new Touch Pro without risk of damage due to audio out also being on that connector?

Yes. The audio/video/extra pins are extended, the phone is compatible with any standard mini usb charger or cable.
