I wish we had these Settings under the Settings of Opera like the Omnia Opera v9.5 Build 1957
(see attached Pics)

(located here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ght=opera+2392)

I have the build 1957 on my mogul (it is the best so far, but not the fastest) and it has 3 things fixed/added that none other Opera build I found.

1. the address bar does NOT "go away" when using the slide out keyboard
2. it has the option of "set as default Browser" under advanced (see pic sshot03.jpg)
3. It lets you choose how to identify on the internet (handheld or PC) (see pic sshot03.jpg)

I tried getting this settings ported/conbined to the newer build but...no success...hopefully someone can do make this happen with the newer builds??
cheers..

Ok my issue is I make the changes it tell me they are saved in a java script box when I click save. Then I exit opera and restart and the settings are all back to the default.
I tried changing one at a time and hitting save and doing both either way they revert back after I kill and reopen or soft reset and reopen.
Any idea why my setting are not changing. I am on a stock tp from sprint just got it yesterday

Ok for those of you still having a problem with website treating you like a mobile device I think I was able to fix mine by directly hacking the Opera.ini file.
I will upload the version that works fine for me. Let me know how it works.

Instructions: Step One ensure Opera is not running by closing it on the today screen at the top right corner or just do a soft reset and do this first.

Step 2 download and unzip this file

Step 3 copy opera.ini that is located on your TouchPro under \Windows\Opera9
to another directory just in case.

Step 4 place the opera.ini attached to this not in the \Windows\Opera9 directory on you Touch Pro
Thats it on the next start mine went to yahoo.com not yahoo mobile.

Hope this helps

2 is Firefox
3 is desktop IE 6

and also need to change the custom user agent from
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint MP6950SP

to Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT)

And that worked for me

Thanks, worked great for me, though I had to read the entire thread to figure out that the second item is under the User Prefs category. Funny that they tout how with Opera Mobile 9.5 you have the full web in your hands, then configure it to receive mobile versions of some sites. ;)

Yea i reverted the settings back to
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint MP6950SP

Because i wasn't annoyed at the white powerdeck page, but now i get a black Sprint Touch Diamond PowerDeck.

By the way, i checked mocospace (wth is this..) and yahoo.com both went to full html websites, aswell as my banking.

i tested diffrent methods to get the best of both, Touch Pro PowerDeck and HTML full browsing, i tried these to no avail.

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT) Sprint MP6950SP

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE) Sprint MP6950SP

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE) Sprint MP6850SP (shows the MOGUL at powerdeck)

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE) Sprint MP6900SP (-SP Unknown Devices)

I decided i dont need this edit, since my mobile banking works and myspace directs to html regardless anyway,

So whats the stock Touch Pro Custom User Agent?

::Edit:: quick search pulled this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=558013

This does not seem to work in Opera 10. Google always loads in mobile view. What are the settings for Opera 10?
