I suggest you wait til near the end of your 30 days before you return your TP. Ive been pretty anxious getting mine returned because I do have a muffled speaker problem, but I dont want the chance of getting another faulty one. Looking at all the ones you got, they all had build dates within what we thought were of the faulty batch. Last I read in this thread, it seems that a build date of 10/16 or past is good. Im hoping to exchange mine this friday after best buy gets their latest batch in from thursday. Good Luck!

What happens if you wait the 30 days, and then all they have are the defective ones?

I have been in communcation with the manager of the mobile department of the biggest BB in Austin, and he is aware of the problem. He said to give him a call tomorrow, because he has been talking to Sprint about this--and supposedly is getting a batch of 30 in that aren't piles of crap.

Sounds like I just got the bad ones from the bad batch. All three of them.

I would love one with a November build date....

Build date of 10/16 here and I noticed the crappy call quality on the first call. My Sanyo Katana was much louder and clearer.

I'm going to wait a couple of weeks before I request an exchange. Hopefully by then the new ones in store will not have any issues.

Did you buy from Best Buy, or through Sprint?

My boss bought & returned a TP in disgust. He couldn't wait to get it & then was absolutely dumbfounded at the poor quality of the thing.

The phone speaker audio from his was so poor it was virtually unuseable as a phone & the case was literally coming apart 2 days after he got it. He took it back for a refund & went back to his highly tweaked/customized Titan for now.

He told me today he is going to wait for the HD or something like that to become available.

My first TP earpiece was horrible. Even after the tweaks. I exchanged it last night and this one is much better. I dont even need to use the tweaks for this one. Its 10x better, not perfect, but definitely a big improvement.

10/19 Speakerphone can definitely use some improvements, other than that all good with ear piece.

Don't forget the following option. Before shifting the account on the phone, have them power it up and press *4. You'll get a recording for voicemail to enter your account number since the phone won't be activated yet. You should be able to use that as an initial indication of sound quality.
