SERO and TP? Does it work?
 

Hi, I was wondering if anyone with the SERO Plan, whether the 500 min, 1250 min, etc has gotten the Touch Pro added to their account without changing their plan at all?
This is the only thing that may stop me from joining all the new Touch Pro users. I just want to maintain my $30 SERO plan and get a touch pro activated on it.
If anyone has any information please tell me, THANKS!

sure why not? once you have a plan youre grandfathered in until you leave sprint or change the plan yourself.

I got my TPro on Friday with my 1250 min Sero Plan. So it works

Got my TP on Friday with the 500 Min SERO plan through Best Buy. The System there said activation failed when the rep went to activate the new phone. and it shows me as paying 80bux instead of 30 but it all went ok in the end. Basically it can be done with little to no hassle

Ditto, I renewed my contract with $50 SERO at BB (1year upgrade). The only difference is that on SERO they have to manually call it in at best buy. For some reason their system freaks out on non-standard plans. Users have gotten diamonds just fine through telesales without changing their plan too. Shouldn't be a problem at all.

Yes same for me at BB .. although prior to BB the lovely folks at Sprint said that you cannot purchase the Touch Pro at BB with the Sero plan on the account, but the helpful BB guy had no problems getting it done. Checked the Sprint website and all is good.

I have the $30 SERO plan and had no issues preventing me from getting it. The guy was confused when he typed in my phone number ("are you sure you have sprint?"), but once I explained that I had an employee referral plan, not a normal plan, he knew to call in. That was the only issue.

When i went to purchase it I was expecting to have a problem (I have teh SERO $30 plan) but the girl found my plan right away. No calling needed. Did anyone else have this experience with the SERO? I was shocked that my plan showed up right away. I only hope nothing changed with my plan becuase I have been getting service credits on my account for the past 6 months that amount to $25 bucks, meaning I only pay $15 a month for my plan! If those changed I am going to be awfully pissed!!

i think there should be a sticky with the title "phones that DONT work with the SERO plan"

then again, it would be a short sticky since i think its only the Instinct. right?
