i'm considering buying wmwifirouter, but I am wondering if I would be able to use it on two phones, seeing how I have two smart phones. I dont feel like paying 60 bucks to have two copies for two phones. Anyone know if that would be the case?

Sorry, I should've clarified that I meant registry hacks for tethering with Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), Windows Mobile's built in App.

I edited my OP to reflect this clarification.

1. Edit the following regestry entries. Hard part is finding a registry editor, but they are out there:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
ForceCellConnection="Sprint"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
MaxCMCon=0

2. Start the Internet Sharing application.
3. Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application.
4. Connect the Diamond to the Laptop/PC via USB
5. Done. No other applications needs to run on the PC/Laptop.

Aren't RNDIS and that Framework patch still needed for Windows XP?

Technically you dont need USBModem, but I bought it a while back so I use it. It works fine on my TP

Hey, lets create an app thats totally free intended for free use by the phone community, then when everyone starts using it and cant live without it start charging for it. Riiiight. There are a ton of other users that donate time and efforts on multiple other software for the phone community and they never take it commercial. They rely on donations. They get my money, corporate greed does not and will never get a dime of mine.

I agree with this sentiment. I would probably bite the bullet and purchase it if it was $15-20 though

It shows MaxCMConnectRetries and then 0x0 (0) below. Now that is under settings. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing all I have is Settings, Status, and then (Default) and Extension

Am I missing something

I am in the same boat- I actually added that third set as an additional key under InternetSharing
