Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

Interesting, so AE Button Plus DOES work, just not remapping the home and back keys that well. That's okay. i'll map the call begin and call end buttons. Right now i'm using SPB Pocket Plus to map a Long press of the call begin button to a context menu. seems to work okay Although, I like this AE Button Plus option a lot more. Thanks.

Anyone know the executable or .lnk file to Lauch Quick Menu. I want to assign this to the long key for our ok/enter.

Great idea. I don't have the answer, but I'll definitely implement the idea if someone clues us in.

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

I'm just trying out this thing, too bad it seems to have no documentation.

I keep reading that I can assign multiple functions to my keys. Now maybe that just needs to be refrased.
I want to assign an action for both single press and long press to a button but I don't see a way to add a second action.

If it's not possible does anyone know of something else that can?

Thanks,

Kenny

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

I downloaded wmsnapshot program and need to dedicate a button to make it work. When I go into Start>Settings>Buttons I can't figure out how to dedicate a new button to the program. Can you help?

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

I've been playing with AEButton Plus and Mort Buttons a bit, trying to map out an optimal set of commands for my own use. It's very tempting to want to map everything possible, but you also have to be realistic. If you only use a given app once in a great while, it doesn't make much sense to map it to a button because you're going to forget what button or how many presses, etc. I've used some of the suggestions in this thread, but also some of my own. I also constructed a template of sorts to help with remembering where things are. This is especially helpful when you're still playing and trying to figure out what will work best. I'll attach an image of the template. The template only maps out the D-pad enter key and the "red" and "green" phone buttons. I know some people are trying to map home and ok, but I didn't want to mess with them due to some of the issues and because having the others is plenty for me at the moment...

Argh, this won't display the full resolution image of the template. I put it on Flickr here: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3295/...c017ebbd_b.jpg
