Hi,

Just follow these steps (in the order as shown):

1. Let your TP die on the battery
2. Charge it for a few minutes
3. Perform a hard reset
4. Charge it fully
5. Do anything you want

It's already a feww days I applied this procedure and a noticed a VERY big improvement, and this without flashing or whatso ever.

I think, it's a personal opinion, that before looking for complicated solutions, you've got to try all the simpliest trick you can. After that, there are certainly others things to do to improve your TP's battery life, but that will be peenuts regarding this simple trick.

Just try it and you'll discover a really other machine...

My understanding was a registry entry was changed when you hard reset, telling the TP to charge the battery all the way.... So if I follow the above and do a restore with Sprite, will that registry entry be overwritten with the "old" value, thus negating the steps above?

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

There is a thread here in all this mess that has a registry setting, change from 5000 to 20000 (Battery polling) which really works. I charged my phone a night ago and pulled it off around midnight. Went the whole night into the morning then afternoon, a couple of quick calls and a dozen or so text messgaes and was at 70% when I went to sleep. So that was 24 hours.... I woke up another 6 after and still had the 70%. Went to work, did some texts and a couple of text messages, updated the weather, surfed the web for a few then shot some pool and was at 60%. Now if I get the 1500mah battery I should be good for a few days in between charges.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

I really don't feel like reading 81 pages of this discussion, so has a petition been made?

I've made online petitions before on petitionspot.com and they have become very successful.

BTW, IDK if it's been brought up, but I have just ordered the Touch Pro AA Battery booster the other day. I'll post my impressions when I receive it.

That would be great if i can get that.....what type of usage are we talking about? Lof of calls, texting? Internet, bluetooth? I tried the hard reset method above and have been getting better battery usage but that still with limited talk and barely any internet or bluetooth usage

Such as the battery cover petition?

evilmonkey, the AA charger seems like a good idea, so based on how it works for you I may purchase one.
